Thursday: DEPART USA
Depart from the USA for a transatlantic flight to Athens

Friday: ARRIVAL ATHENS - EMBARKATION
Arrive in Athens. Meet and greet at the airport. Drive to Piraeus Port and embark your cruise ship, enjoying the fellowship of other Christians and excellent teaching.

Saturday: THESSALONIKI - VERIA
Thessaloniki-Visit the Walls, The House of Jason where Paul lived and the Agora where he preached. Continue to Veria-ancient Beroea- to the memorial commemorating Paul's preaching to the local Jews in 54 AD.

Sunday: KAVALA - PHILIPPI
Kavala (ancient Neapolis), the site where Paul, Timothy and Silas landed on the coast of Thrace. From there, visit Philippi where Paul lived, preached and was imprisoned and the Baptistery of Lydia, where the first baptism on European soil took place.

Monday: ISTANBUL
In the morning we arrive in Istanbul, one of the world's greatest historic cities. Formerly Byzantium, the center of the Eastern Roman Empire, this city is built on seven green hills and situated astride two continents. East meets West in every way. We visit the Topkapi Palace with its harem and fabulous treasure chambers, the Sultan Ahmed (Blue) Mosque with its six minarets, and St. Sofia, converted to a mosque from a Christian basilica after the fall of Constantinople in 1453.

Tuesday: DIKILI - PERGAMON
A tour from Dikili (our port) is to Pergamon, the great city of Bergama and a city of the Book of Revelation. It is one of the best-preserved ancient sites in Turkey.

Wednesday: KUSADASI - EPHESUS - MILETUS
Arrive at Kusadasi. Visit Ephesus, the most impressive archeological site in Turkey, including the Great Amphitheater where Paul spoke to the Ephesians. An afternoon tour to Miletus, where Paul delivered his touching farewell address the elders of Ephesus and predicted his death, for those wishing to visit the place.

Thursday: PATMOS
Patmos, the "Holy Island" for the Christian faith. This is the place where the apocalyptic Revelation of John was written during his exile from the Roman Empire. We visit the cave and the monastery of St. John.

Friday: DISEMBARKATION - ATHENS - CORINTH
Disembark the cruise ship and begin the tour of Athens. Visit among other masterpieces of the "Golden Age" the Acropolis, the agora and the Mars Hill where Paul taught. Continue to ancient Corinth. Visit the ruins of the ancient city where Paul worked. See the remains of first-century shops, the agora where Paul was on trial at the Bema, the Fountain of Peirene, Temple of Apollo and visit the museum. Drive to Patras port to embark the ferry to Bari, Italy.

Saturday: POMPEII - ROME
Disembark the ferry ship and begin the tour of Pompeii, where you will visit the spectacular ruins that were covered by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D. The city remained buried and undiscovered for almost 1500 years until excavation began in 1748. These excavations continue today, providing insight into life during the Roman Empire. Drive to Rome for overnight.

Sunday: IMPERIAL ROME
This morning you will discover Imperial Rome. Paul wrote to the Christians of Rome and he eventually went there where his ministry continued, although he was technically a prisoner. You will experience the glory of Imperial Rome when you visit the Coliseum, famous as a place of spectacle and death. Gladiators died here as thousands looked on. See the Circus Maximus, built during the reign of Nero. This huge stadium was able to seat 250,000 spectators for chariot races and other spectacles. See the Roman Forum, an ancient meeting place, market place, religious and political centre. View the Arch of Titus that commemorates Titus' conquest of Judea. You'll visit the Mamertina Prison, where it is believed that both Peter and Paul were imprisoned.

Monday: CHRISTIAN ROME
You'll discover the Vatican Museum, home to many of the world's masterpieces. Enter the Sistine Chapel and view Michelangelo's frescoes, which have been restored to their full, colourful glory. Tour St. Peter's Basilica where Michelangelo's "Pieta" -- the only work signed by the master -- will be just one of many highlights. Travel along the famous Apian Way. Walk through the Catacombs of San Sebastiano. Visit Tre Fontane, where Apostle Paul was beheaded. Walk through Via Del Corso, Piazza de Spagnia, and enjoy the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Piazza Navona.

Tuesday: DEPARTURE
Depart Rome early morning and arrive back in the US with new friends and memories to last a lifetime.

TOUR CONDITIONS

PRICE: Prices quoted are in US dollars and are based on fares and costs in effect at the time of publication. Whenever possible price guarantees are obtained from suppliers. However, depending upon the strength of the US dollar and the fluctuating nature of oil, gas and other costs, published rates are subject to change without notice. Prices quoted are CASH prices, CREDIT CARDS may be used for deposit only.

INCLUDED IN TOUR PRICE

AIR: Round trip from Dallas/Fort Worth. Contact our office for prices from other cities.
CRUISE SHIP/HOTEL: selected accommodations on cruise vessel, First Class hotel in Rome. Prices are based on two persons sharing a twin-bedded room. Single rooms/cabins are subject to availability and at an additional cost. If a passenger cannot supply a roommate and we are unable to do so, the passenger will have to pay the supplemental charge. (You may be billed after the final payment date for single room.)
MEALS: All scheduled meals included on cruise plus lunches while touring. Room service is not included in pricing. Breakfast and dinner in Rome.
SIGHTSEEING: Local transportation by motor coach. All entrance fees are included.

Food and beverages (including coffee and tea) not usually included with regular meals; accident and baggage insurance; transporting and handling excess luggage; personal tips to guides, drivers of $90. NOTE: (Taxes/Fuel Surcharges may change without notice. Any increase will be billed to the passenger and must be paid prior to departure.) In the event it becomes necessary to overnight material due to late receipt of registration or final payments, traveler will be billed for these charges.

INSURANCE: Acting only as agents for suppliers, we are not responsible for damage, loss, or theft of luggage and/or personal belongings, or for personal injury, accident and/or illness. For your own protection, it is important that you have adequate insurance to cover these possibilities. You should carry proof of insurance in the event you need medical attention while abroad. Additional information and application forms for all types of coverage will be supplied to you prior to departure.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION-PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

PASSPORT: A valid passport is required. NOTE: A valid passport is required to leave the USA. It should be valid for a minimum of six months after your return date; you will be denied boarding if your passport is not valid for six months beyond your return date. No visas are required.
REGISTRATION & DEPOSIT: A deposit of $500 per person is required at the time of registration. Only the deposit may be charged to your VISA, MC or AMEX. Registrations received inside sixty (60) days must be accompanied by full payment.
PAYMENTS: Following registration, you will receive an invoice with final payment amount and date due. Final payments should be made payable to DISCOVERY WORLDWIDE MINISTRIES and must be received by January 19, 2012. Final payments not received by January 19, 2012 are subject to cancellation, for which Tour Operator is not to be held responsible.
CRUISE CANCELLATION OR ALTERATION OF ITINERARY: The cruise line (the Line) reserves the right to cancel any cruise, with or without notice, in which case the passage money will be refunded. It also reserves the right to alter the itinerary of any cruise or tour, if, for any reason, this becomes necessary or desirable. Additionally, the Line may, for the same reasons, substitute any other vessel (owned or managed by the Line) for the one named in this brochure. In both these cases, no refund is due to the passenger unless justified by the type of new accommodation offered. The Line also reserves the right to change or alter the sequence of ports or stops on land tours.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND: If a passenger cancels his/her tour membership for any reason, there will be a cancellation fee of two hundred dollars ($200) to cover costs. If the tour is canceled for reasons beyond the control of either the passenger or Discovery Worldwide Ministries, a $100 administrative fee will be assessed. For cancellations from 90-61 days, $500; 60-to departure, NO REFUND. Trip cancellation/interruption insurance is available and is highly recommended. All cancellation requests must be addressed to Discovery Worldwide Ministries in writing or via email. Phone calls for cancellations cannot be accepted.

TOUR OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITY

Except for the willful negligence of its direct employees, the Tour Operator assumes no liability or responsibility for any injuries, damages occasioned by circumstances beyond the control of Tour Operator, or by any person for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to default or omission of and by any third party providing services or facilities related to or included in this tour or any part thereof, or in arranging for the same, or the acts or omissions of the Tour Host. The passenger contracts, in use by the airlines, cruise lines, and the passenger or purchaser of this tour and Tour Operator assume no liability or responsibility in connection therewith. Also, the Tour Operator WILL NOT BE responsible for: (a) flight schedule changes, mechanical breakdowns, government actions, weather, acts of God, acts of war, whether declared or undeclared, hijackings, or other circumstances beyond its control, including any connecting flights that may be missed as a result thereof (participants should consider the possibility of delays when arranging connecting flights); (b) the failure to follow instructions, including but not limited to check-in and check-out times and baggage handling; (c) charges incurred relating to single room/stateroom requirements either by the passengers themselves or their assigned roommates. Payment of the deposit or any partial or full payment for a reservation constitutes consent to all provisions listed in this brochure.
