In our ongoing effort to keep our travelers updated regarding safety concerns please be
advised there is no reason for any concerns traveling to Israel beyond the normal risk of
living life on a daily basis in a dangerous world. The ongoing internal issues in Egypt, Libya,
Yemen and other Muslim nations have no effect on Israel, at least in the near term. Some in
the media have speculated these revolts will impact Israel and while they may in the coming
years they are not in the near future. We are all aware of the hatred of the Muslim world
toward the existence of the Jews and the nation of Israel and we know they want to destroy
every last Jew alive. That said, this has been their desire since Isaac and Ishmael and will
continue until Jesus comes.
We are continuing to see rockets being fired from Gaza
into Southern Israel, as has been the
case since 2005, and the Israeli military continues to retaliate. Nothing new with this except
they have fired a few more than normal in the last few days and we expect this to continue
since much of the world is preoccupied with the tragedy in Japan, the President on Spring
Break in Central and South America and the revolts previously mentioned. The minute the
world's focus shifts away from the Israeli/Palestinian problem, the Muslims do all they can to
regain the world's focus. Believe me, Israel understands this and they are always ready to
deal with them.
Israel is packed with groups as this is written and will remain so.
It is no more dangerous to
visit today than it was last year or it will be next year!
Remember, the greatest threat to your life according to the FBI is within
25 miles of where
you live! In addition, more people drown in their bathtubs each year than die in all acts of
terrorism worldwide.
In the event, based on our daily communications with
staff in Israel, we feel it is unsafe or
unwise to send our groups we we will cease to operate as we did following 911. Until then,
we have not been given a spirit of fear....
